Hello fellow members,

Please share your working Bing SEO tips here...

Let me start with a simple one.

Add as much as content outside of <script> </script>tags. The msn bot is giving more important to contents rather than backlinks or other SEO stuffs. This will allow the msn bots to crawl other pages of your website too.

Everyone seems to be complaining about their webpages not getting crawled by bing bots,but the answer seems to be same from bing technical guys. Add more contents, stick with bing webmaster guidelines and so on. As far from my knowledge they don't care about the backlinks or other SEO practices, The only things they are concerning is the technical stuffs like Site navigation, user friendly URL's etc .

So let discuss about onsite SEO practices for Bing here. Please don't comeup with ideas like article submission, directory submission. manual link building etc.

SEO for Bing differs from the SEO for Google.Here are bing SEO tips:
1. To make it to the top of Bing, make sure to have a title that correlates to the subject at hand. You must also link out. Many marketers do not favor linking out because they fear that their page rank will be lowered, especially with Google.
2. Try to add more and more text. In most search engines, the amount of text on the page usually is not usually a huge factor. However, Bing really likes pages with at least 350 words of text.
3. Bing appears to put a lot of stock into how long ago a domain was registered. For marketers, this means that you may look to purchase older domains if you want to get on good position in Bing.

Also, keep your URLs simple and static. URLs that are complicated or that change frequently are difficult to index as link destinations. Limit all webpages to a reasonable size. Bing recommends covering one topic per webpage. An HTML webpage with no images should be under 150 KB.
