LinkedIn is not just another social media identity nowadays. With their advanced communication platform and a huge network of 8 million professionals its becoming one of the Biggest business hub online.

Here is some useful tips i have collected from different sources to get more out of your linkedin profile.

1, Increase your visibility by creating a full profile at LinkedIn. LinkedIn will help you to create full profile with their profile completion tips section at the right side of the window in your profile page.

2, Create your own Linked public profile URL. Edit your public profile URL in the profile page to something matching your name or business identity. Something like this http://in.linkedin.com/in/genothampi

3, Privacy of your profile. Change your profile privacy settings to be public to get more attention in search results and let your viewers know more about you.

4, Power of connections. While sending connection requests to unknown persons be honest and explain your partner how this connection will be useful for both of you.

5, Recommendation. Recommendations are another powerful option to let your viewers to know more about your unique qualities like leadership, project management things.

6, Linked in Groups. Active participation in groups will always help you to get more attention in groups.

7, Ask for advice from professional. You can find almost professionals from every field here. Don't expect advices from corporate giants, But still people are there to help you in LinkedIn.
